Gastón Fulquet

Gastón Fulquet holds a Ph.D. in Social Sciences from FLACSO Argentina and is an associate researcher with the Global Studies Programme. He received his education in international relations and regional integration processes at the Universidad del Salvador and the University of Buenos Aires, respectively. He was a fellow of the National Council for Scientific and Technical Research (CONICET). For several years, he worked as a consultant for the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development of the Nation on issues related to environmental water management and aquatic ecosystems. Currently, he coordinates a regional program for the conservation and restoration of the wetland system in the Paraná-Paraguay corridor at Fundación Humedales/Wetlands International. His research interests include global environmental governance, international political economy, regional integration, and political ecology.
