Lanzamiento del nuevo sitio web de STAR Hub

Desde el Programa de Estudios Globales, en nuestra calidad de socios internacionales, nos complace anunciar el lanzamiento del nuevo sitio web del Sustainability Transformation Action and Research Hub (STAR Hub), un espacio clave para la acción y la investigación en sostenibilidad.

El STAR Hub es un centro de investigación y acción dedicado a promover transformaciones sociales hacia la sostenibilidad. Liderado por el Prof. Dr. Adrián Beling, fue creado en 2024 en The King’s University (Canadá) para conectar investigadores, organizaciones y comunidades que trabajan en soluciones frente a crisis ecológicas, económicas y sociales.

El hub busca impulsar investigación interdisciplinaria sobre sostenibilidad; conectar universidades, organizaciones sociales y actores comunitarios; desarrollar proyectos que promuevan cambios sociales y económicos sostenibles y crear redes globales de colaboración para enfrentar desafíos ambientales y sociales.

El STAR Hub combina tres elementos: investigación académica sobre sostenibilidad y transformación social; acción práctica, desarrollando proyectos y programas concretos; redes de colaboración entre investigadores, comunidades, iglesias, organizaciones y movimientos sociales.

Analiza cómo organizaciones religiosas pueden contribuir a la sostenibilidad. Investiga modelos económicos basados en cooperación y bienes comunes digitales. Busca transformar sistemas alimentarios mediante redes comunitarias y tecnología.

New website for the STAR Hub (Sustainability Transformation Action and Research Hub), of which the Global Studies Program is an international partner.

The STAR Hub is a research and action center dedicated to promoting social transformations toward sustainability. Led by Prof. Dr. Adrián Beling, it was established in 2024 at The King’s University (Canada) to connect researchers, organizations, and communities working on solutions to ecological, economic, and social crises.

The hub aims to promote interdisciplinary research on sustainability; connect universities, social organizations, and community actors; develop projects that foster sustainable social and economic change; and build global collaboration networks to address environmental and social challenges.

The STAR Hub combines three elements: academic research on sustainability and social transformation; practical action through concrete projects and programs; and collaborative networks among researchers, communities, churches, organizations, and social movements.

Some examples of this initiative include:

  • P2P Food Transition – seeks to transform food systems through community networks and technology.
